Am vergangenen Samstag kamen etwa 1.500 Personen am Friedrichsplatz zu einer Kundgebung gegen Rassismus und gegen alle Arten unmenschlicher Behandlung zusammen.
Aufgerufen hatte dazu das Netzwerk gegen Rassismus. Als Mitglied des Netzwerks waren auch Geschwister des Deutschsprachigen Muslimkreis Karlsruhe mit dabei. Mit mehreren Mahnwachen wurde der Ermordung von George Floyd gedacht. In seiner Rede betonte Oberbürgermeister Frank Mentrup, dass auch wir in Deutschland einen Blick auf Rassismus haben müssen und uns gemeinsam stark für die Akzeptanz und Toleranz innerhalb unserer Gesellschaft machen müssen. Alle Versammelten waren einig in dem Wunsch, dass jeder Mensch eine gerechte Behandlung erfährt.
